Stöbich Entrepreneurship Promotion Prize 2023
This year's award for outstanding academic work in the field of start-up research went to Dr phil. Carina Bohlayer, who dealt with a topical issue.
How do young companies deal with critical situations and how do these affect motivation in start-ups? Dr phil. Carina Bohlayer addressed this topic in her business psychology dissertation, which included four empirical studies. The scientist's aim was to improve the understanding of entrepreneurial decisions and to support young entrepreneurs in dealing with challenges.
With her work "Becoming Entrepreneurs - Critical Situations and the Dynamics of Nascent Entrepreneurs' Motivations", Dr Bohlayer makes a valuable contribution to innovative entrepreneurship, and that is exactly what we, as the namesake and award sponsor, are all about.
On 2 November 2023, the academic was therefore awarded the ➥ Stöbich Entrepreneurship Doctoral Prize - she is the third winner since 2021. The Entrepreneurship Hub of the Technische Universität Braunschweig and Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences hosted the award ceremony. Dagmar Wilgeroth from TU Braunschweig hosted the event, which was attended by Dirk-Olaf Petersen, Commercial Director of STÖBICH Holding, Prof. Dr. Krafczyk, Vice President for Digitalisation and Sustainability at TU Braunschweig, and Prof. Dr. Asghari, Head of the Entrepreneurship Hub. Inge and Liesa Stöbich also represented their late husband and father, our company founder Dr Jochen Stöbich.
He himself was a pioneer and entrepreneur in the field of structural fire protection. He too would certainly have been proud of this year's winner Carina Bohlayer, who is a highly committed start-up researcher and also works in a non-profit organisation to promote entrepreneurial thinking and action regardless of gender.
