      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

16th Fire Protection Day on the Coast

Wismar is not only a popular destination for excursions, the picturesque Hanseatic city also hosts the annual Fire Protection Day on the coast. As a supporter and exhibitor of the first hour, STÖBICH was again on site with a booth.

On Tuesday, September 6, 2022, the Fire Protection Day on the Coast took place in Wismar for the 16th time in the meantime. The event is organized by four institutions of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, including the local Chamber of Architects and Engineers.
This year, the participating architects, civil engineers, official fire protection planners, fire departments, planning offices and construction companies were treated to eight specialist presentations and a trade exhibition with 48 exhibitors. The trade exhibition, which featured a live stream, was held in the rebuilt St. George's Church and also featured ➥ STÖBICH was represented. In this impressive historical ambience, we were able to hold intensive technical discussions with our regular customers and potential new customers - finally live and in color again. A complete success for all sides.
