      Fire protection curtains

      Fire protection curtains are seal openings in walls and ceilings in case of fire. The constructional set-up (rolling- or folding technology) and the use of different fabrics offer a wide application spectrum as well as different protection targets or classifications and time classes. Casings and side guides of those flexible applicable systems are integrated almost invisibly in the building and provide much scope for design of sophisticated architecture for opened designs.

      Manifold production - and logisitc processes require different construction types of conveying systems. If the haulage drifts are passing through fire-retarding resp. fire-resisting walls or ceilings, the necessary openings must be provided with fire protection closures to avoid the expansion of the fire by conveyor technique or by conveyed material. In case of fire the conveyor system closures have to seal those openings immediately and automatically. Thereby a classified fire resistance as well as the smoothly clearing of the closing area must be respected in case of release.

      Control systems are necessary for all automatic fire protection systems! They are safety-relevant, because without their function or in the event of a malfunction, the entire investment of a fire protection partition would be useless. Controllers coordinate both fire detection and the interaction with other controls, like superordinate building control or the retraction of the closing area at conveyor closing area.

Start of training 2024

Start of training 2024

As always, the 2024 training year at STÖBICH began with an introductory day including the traditional company rally through the company headquarters in Goslar. On August 1, eight young people started their training: three industrial clerks, two technical product designers, one construction mechanic, one IT specialist for system integration and one industrial electrician (m/f/d). At the same time, a prospective office management assistant started her training at the Bopfingen site (see small picture).
Our new recruits from Goslar, who will also be joined by three one-year interns, were first allowed to arrive at our company in peace and quiet. After being welcomed by the training crew and management, they were given lots of information about the company and the training before the practical part began: On their exploratory tour through the various specialist areas, the young men and women got to know the diverse activities in the fire protection company and, of course, their new colleagues. The team of trainers and mentors are on hand to offer advice and support to all trainees and are delighted with the new additions to the STÖBICH team.
At the central STÖBICH site in Goslar, we are currently training apprentices in seven professions: Mechatronics technicians, construction mechanics, technical product designers, industrial electricians specializing in industrial engineering, IT specialists for system integration, machine and plant operators and industrial clerks (m/f/d).
