Fire protection hood for electronic devices. Often, copiers and printers are positioned in easily accessible locations in corridors that also serve as escape routes. When the fixing unit heats up, failure of the thermal switch can quickly cause a fire. After just a few minutes, visibility is so severely impaired that escape is very difficult. At the first signs of smoke generation, Copy-Cap automatically closes and securely seals off the affected device. The system can either be mounted on the wall or ceiling.
