House of the Sea | Vienna, Austria

In the House of the Sea, visitors immerse themselves in fascinating underwater worlds. The Society for Marine Biology, founded in 1957, has evolved into an ultra-modern Aqua Terra Zoo, housed in a very special location: a former World War II flak tower in Esterházy Park.

A total of more than 10,000 animals cavort on 11 storeys and an area of about 5,000 m²: Sharks, rays, turtles on water and on land, crocodiles, lizards of all kinds, snakes, fish from fresh and salt water, birds, flying foxes, various monkeys and numerous insects. Highlights include the 300,000-litre two-storey shark tank and the surf reef with its colourful tropical fish.

In this colourful paradise, economical Fibershield®-E fire protection curtains from STÖBICH provide the necessary safety in case of fire without being visually obtrusive. So nothing stands in the way of an eventful visit to the HDM.
