In the heart of the Reeperbahn, the legendary Schmidt Theater attracts crowds of visitors from all over the world. The three locations Schmidts Tivoli, Schmidt Theater & Schmidtchen delight with original musicals, comedy and colourful shows. The most famous neighbourhood stage of the traditional cultural hotbed: Schmidts Tivoli, in its 30th anniversary year in 2021 and still celebrated for the St. Pauli musical "Heiße Ecke".
Things are not only hot on Germany's best-known amusement mile, but unfortunately also in the event of a fire. If a fire breaks out, toxic smoke and fumes are produced. In order to protect people and inventory from the deadly vapours and flames, fire and smoke protection closures of textile construction from STÖBICH were also installed in the Schmidt Theater.
In the event of an alarm, the two Fiberseal curtains between the restaurant area and the kitchen close automatically by gravitational force. The Heliotex fire protection fabric fulfils the EW90 protection target: heat radiation is reduced for up to 90 minutes. In this way, the fire protection curtains prevent the fire from spreading to the other rooms in the theatre and keep out harmful smoke. In Schmidts Tivoli itself, nothing of these measures is visible; the system integrates inconspicuously into the atmospheric interior.
