Tram Depot | Lund, Sweden

A new state-of-the-art transport artery has been pulsating in the Swedish student city of Lund since the winter of 2020: Sweden's first tramway in 100 years was put into operation by Skånetrafiken before Christmas. The modern rail service connects the medieval city centre with Brunnshög, home to the international research institutions MAX IV and ESS.

The Lundaexpressen is an important investment for urban development and mobility - and an important hub in regional transport. It also scores with climate friendliness: the innovative tram runs on green electricity and has a technology that cleverly converts braking energy.

Speaking of innovative and clever: the fire protection closures from STÖBICH in the Lund tram depot ensure maximum safety for all passengers and operators. The Fibershield®-I curtains integrate almost invisibly into the futuristic architecture. The special feature of the high-tech fabric: the textiles are heat-insulating and thus do not require a fire-free zone. Ideal in places like this, where there is heavy (public) traffic and every millimetre counts. Simply clever - and typically STÖBICH.
